In the past, I have considered making my own round frames using a router and a suitable jig, but it's a lot ot work to do it and the range of suitable router bits can create some limitations. I would have liked doing it, but sanity preveilled and I realised that it makes little sense to do it my self. Add to that, the fact that Alan already is set up to make them and has a track record for producing a nice result and it's soulds like an obvious choice to me.
