Excalibur Revitalised!

Post by JohnMcafee »

After 11 years of faultless service, the cutting head on our Excalibur 5000 wasn't running up and down as well as it once did and it was beginning to get beyond the adjustment stage.

What it needed was a replacement set of linear bearings, so armed with credit card I rang Keencut to order the parts. However I was told that the card would not be necessary as they would be sent free of charge. And they were - two full sets of linear bearings, one for each of the cutting heads, complete with retaining and adjusting screws.

A big thank you to Keencut, what super service!

And the Excalibur now works like new.

I'm on my third set on the top cutter in 6 years, but it does get a hell of a lot of use, worn out a set of the nylon rollers at the top for the balance weight as well the cord had worn through the front one, plus the clamp handle broke off once and Keencut replaced that FOC

But saying all that it's a great bit of kit and the engineers at Keencut are always helpful if you have a problem
