Hello dose anyone out there know of any good service engineers in the trade. To service Cassese underpinners and Morso’s EH and F models. Or any advice.

hi dado
I think Lion have an engineer for cassese underpinners - if they dont i suspect they could point you in the right direction tel 0121 7731230.

whats the problem with your Morso - they are such simple bits of kit that apart from bits breaking - blades blunting very little goes wrong with them and they are relativly easy to service.

Nothing up with the Moso’s F like you say they are very simple but I have just got my self EH Moso 3 Phase looking to see if anyone has had any problems with one and what to look out for. The only thing I have noticed is that you have to keep an eye on the oil level. Its more on the Cassese underpinners that I get some problems with.

Hi Daydo
I have a cassesse underpinner. So easy to maintain. Which one do you have and what problems are you getting.

I have 3 Casseses CS 3099 that run around 10-12 hours a day pining you on average 300 to 400 frame each and they need servicing. Just to keep them in tiptop shape they are well maintained. The main problem I have with one of them is when you pin a frame up that is around 40mm and you stack the wedges 3 on top of each other (12mm wedges) They don’t always stack on top of each other and sometime this leads to the frame not having a perfect miter. I have changed the hammer but this still happens its fine on the other 2 pinners.

Hi,

Go back to your original supplier, they should either be able to provide service or at least get a service engineer ti come and see you, at your own expense. A&T here in Northern Ireland have engineers come over to their place a couple of times per year and they contact anyone that has bought machinery from them and organise visits.

Failing that, contact the companies direct and they should be able to help with your service problems, although having said that, Casesse are desperatly slow at getting back to you, if they even bother answering, but their machines are easily maintained.

If you are anywhere near Lisburn in Northern Ireland on 16th March 2005, our local Guild branch meeting is dedicated to machinery set up and maintenance. (This is at the request of many Guild members) All machines, including Morso, Casesse, Keencut, Fletcher, Morso UP-M underpinner will be looked at.
