Hello ...I am a new member ... I am Syd Conisbee ... AKA Syd the framer ... Hence my aol email address... From London England ... Now living in the USA ... My business premises were in Connaught Street ... Next to Hyde Park ... London ... England... When I sold my business I retained the picture stock which is over 2000 prints pre dating 1880 ... Just lately I have acquired second hand ... A Morso Cutter... A Seal Dry Mount Press ... A Fletcher Terry Glass/Media Cutter ... A C& H Mat Cutter ... A Brevetti V Nailer (under Pinner) ... Plus lots of odds and end throw in with these used purchases ... So I'm in the midst of setting up my framing workshop ... I specialized in Mount decoration ... Wash lining and french mats ... Many thing are different here so I expect I will have questions ... Pleased to meet you all ..

Hello Syd and welcome to the FF :D

I read your intro' on the Gumble and was looking forward to meeting you here :P

It sounds like you have a very efficient set up in your new base and I wish you all the very best.

Like all framers we have lots in common and like you I have a passion for not only framing, but mount decoration

Welcome Syd,

So where in North Carolina - US are you setting up business? Storefront or home-based?

Regards,

Hello, again Syd :D

I just wanted to say you must visit South Carolina if you haven't already, specifically Hilton Head Island, it's absolutely stunning. My wife and I had the holiday of a lifetime there a few years ago.
