Porter Design Bath

Post by jon buck »

Hi

I used to buy prints from this company, they offered a good selection of classical prints. I haven't purchased from them for long time.
Unfortunately i cant contact them via email or telephone. Is anyone aware if they are still trading or if they have sold the company.

Many thanks

Jon

I have no idea, but they sold some really top quality prints, on very nice quality paper as well. Over the years some very useful print companies have just disappeared without trace when things became tough going. I remember one particular company called Kingfisher who similarly disappeared without trace at the time. The assets of such companies are their stock of prints, when it becomes difficult to sell their prints, the value of assets is almost nothing and not usable to raise short term finances to pay the overheads. There was a time when I sold plenty of Kingfisher prints, but the demand for them dropped off extremely quickly and then they were gone!

Thanks for your reply's Steve and Mark . Telephone number is a private number, apparently they have had it for a couple of years.
Sounds a bit fishy to me.

All the best

I can tell you the fate of Kingfisher prints Mark.
They were forced out of business because their prints were pirated by the ton. (literally).
