Do you need to pre book the workshops? There’s a few listed that would really help me so very keen to come along.

Hi
You're very welcome to register to let us know you are coming along - it will allow us to pre-print a badge for you and give us an idea of numbers. But you don't specifically need to do that. The workshops run from 10.30am to 3pm and they are drop-in ones, designed so you can arrive at a time that suits you, then wander round and chat and ask questions at your leisure.
If you'd like to stay on for the evening meal and social event then you do need to pre-book that. The workshops are completely free to come along to. We do charge for the evening activities and they help pay for the whole weekend.

The Sunday morning we have the AGM at 10.30 - and this year we are electing a new Chair & Master of the Guild as I am at the end of my 3-year term of office. We have a bit of chat and final clearing up and then most people are away no later than lunchtime.

Re: Guild Weekend 2022 - Framing workshops (14th May at 10.30am)
A reminder that there is less than a week to go until the Guild Weekend. Open to Guild members as well as non-members, the Saturday is when most activities take place.
We’ve been delighted with how many people have pre-registered and also booked to attend the Master’s Dinner in the evening. The daytime activities are FREE TO ATTEND but we’re grateful to those coming along to the dinner, you help fund future Guild Weekends!
If you haven’t already booked you can do that on the Guild website- but you can also just attend the daytime activities without booking.
Looking forward to meeting as many framers as possible next weekend! Our first in-person event since 2019 and my last duties as Master of the Guild as my term of office ends and I hand the baton on to the next era.

Went there a few years ago and it was well worth going there. It was a really long journey for us to get there, by in spite of such a long journey, it worth the trip. A great event.

That’s very kind of you to say so Mark. I think you may be confusing it with Framers Forum Live! that was held in a different hotel in Stratford some years ago. I remember that you and your wife visited that for the day on at least one occasion. This is a Guild organised event and the practical education demos and table top displays on offer is different from the event you came to.
Having said that, any framers get together is still a great thing to be part of. Stratford is a nicely Central location for a large number of framers - although we are aware some people will be travelling a good deal further than others. We’ve got attendees coming from Europe, the USA and Canada too - as well as England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Ireland. Should be a great weekend.

Yes, you are correct I don't remember as much as I used to these days. I think it's the same venue, but perhaps I've got that wrong as well.

Different hotel - same town. The Crown Plaza is next to the river and a few minutes walk into the town centre. The other hotel was a few miles outside town.
