Solid White Oak or Oak Tray moulding

Post by Fellows Framing »

Does anyone know if such a moulding exists please?

Ideally 4cms deep by 1.2cm wide.

Or could they be made? But where to get the oak from??

Thanks all in advance.

It shouldn't matter if it's wider, you can show as much of the base as you like. Something that height should be available, if not a good timber merchant should be able to cut you some flat battens in any wood you like and you just screw and glue the 'L' together.

You could use F8 Oak from Rose & Hollis. It's a flat 12mm thick fillet, 47mm wide.
Join it up to size on the vertical.

Then make a flat frame with say, F5 but a bit smaller than the F8 frame. Nail/screw this to the base so you won't see it from the sides and there you should have it.
