A useful piece of kit to have is a fibreglass electrical contact cleaning pen. Great for removing small blemishes on mountboard.

Thats interesting Prospero what sort of blemishes would it remove from mountboard would you use it instead of a rubber or sharp blade?

It's more controllable than a blade or rubber. Using a blade often makes the mark worse and a rubber just scuffs up the surface.theframer wrote: Thu 21 Mar, 2024 5:46 pm Thats interesting Prospero what sort of blemishes would it remove from mountboard would you use it instead of a rubber or sharp blade?
You can dig embedded particles out with a blade but you can hide the hole with a fibreglass pen by teasing the paper fibres over.
