Picture framer recommendations
Hi all, what are some recommended tools to build picture frames at home? I am an amateur painter looking to expand slightly. I have a nice miter saw and those staplers for holding the backing on the frame. I really want a decent v-nailer but I don’t trust Amazon’s recommendations. I have an air compressor at home, so it can be pneumatic, but I don’t want to break the bank too bad.

Welcome to the Forum.
I think you might find there is a bit more to it than meets the eye, but don't let me put you off.
The fact is, if you want professional results you have to use professional tools and for picture framing that
could mean huge expense. As you are an artist you should consider doing hand-finishing on bare wood profiles.
It takes longer, but you can customise your frames to suit your paintings. Factory-finished moulding is very costly
nowadays and you are likely to waste a lot learning to cut/join. Also, if you finish frames after joining you can
make good any gaps and defects in the finishing process. Just a thought.....
Anyhow, you might want to visit https://www.thegrumble.com/ as it is US based. Lots of good advice there...
