Mill Your Own Barewood Mouldings

Post by vintage frames »

I was looking through Facebook marketplace and came accross this giveaway priced spindle-moulder -

All you have to do is connect a dust/chip extractor to the back, get some cutting knives from Wealdon Tools or have Profile design Tooling shape some for you.
Then you can push a length of R&H F10 obeche through to shape your own moulding.

I know that's a bit simplistic to say but if you have the room and use barewood mouldings a lot, this is an obvious solution.

Spindle moulders do require a degree of adult care and instruction but if you can survive using a Morso then that shouldn't be a problem.
