Cassese cs299 Mxl problem

Post by james1967 »

Hi All
I’ve come back to using my Underpinner after a while - it starting working fine and then wasn’t punching staples all the way in - pressure at just over 6 bar. Now it has stopped working all together - top press doesn’t clamp down and hammer doesn’t seem to be moving. Air pressure is constant at over 6 Bar, lubricated the block and it isn’t blocked. I assume the top press arm should clamp down as the wedge is driven from underneath - neither engage!
I haven’t used this machine a great deal and not familiar with it enough to resolve my issue.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Give Mark a call at Underpinner-spares.co.uk I'm sure he'll be able to diagnose the problem and supply you with the parts.
