Wizard warning

I feel i should warn anybody choosing a Wizard CMC, I purchased a second hand 8500e model from Framers corner and it has been great until very recently it has been frequently breaking blades on the last cut bottom left hand corner.
I reached out to Wizard European for some advice as what to adjust, expecting a pdf or a helpful email and this was there reply.........


Hi Paul,

we received your message and we are sorry to hear that you are experiencing some issues with your Wizard.

From what I can see, you have a ordering account for blades and other consumables, but you don't have a service account yet. In order to refer you to technical service, you will need a technical service account. Would you like to receive an offer to open this type of account?
There is an initial fee of € 895 for this and once you have the service account our technicians will be able to see all components of your machine and will be able to help you.

Having been in business for forty years I was not impressed with this reply from their customer service and fixed the problem myself after a bit of trial and error, thank goodness I have chosen Apple for much of my equipment for business.

I think Ross Callaghan of Callaghan Framing in Shropshire is the UK agent for Wizard. I'd suggest checking in with him first when you next have an issue.
