Custom mount cutting service

Post by rudgey »

Does anyone know of a professional mount cutting service for complex jobs?
I have a manual Keencut which is fine for 95% of work.
However, sometimes I need irregular multi aperture, circular, dome top that I can’t do and not enough to invest in a computerised cutter yet.
Ideally it would have an online tool to allow all the dimensions to be drawn out to cut.
I did one multiple aperture by hand of different sizes with none of them in line with each other intentionally, but it took so long to get right in reverse and out of the stop settings…

Thanks

There’s a few on line.

Not sure if any have an online design tool but it’s easy enough to draw a diagram.

I’d approach local framers with CMCs.

Yes, this maybe the easiest way. I was hoping to find a company that is purely geared up for this.
If I drew it out with all the dimensions, do you know if it’s easy enough for them to translate onto the cutting software?
Maybe I could create a file that can be an imported in to the software.

I wouldn’t worry as it really is easy, a case of

Select shape(s), select size(s), amount, distance between, distance around - CUT

Pretty much.
