Price increases

Post by Frameus »

Ashworth * thompson have infortmed us that they are increasing their prices by 3% and the others will inevitably follow. How can the moulding tables in BBEst be updated to cover these increases, other than labouriously recalculating each one? Is there a simple function in Microsoft Excel, which I am missing?

We are also suffering from a recognition problem, in that Nielsen, won't even acknowledge that they have such a thing as a moulding table, let alone send us a copy. A & T have sent me their new moulding table, but it arrives as a .zip file. Any ideas on this one?

Hi Frameus,

Welcome to the forum.

A+T are working on an updated version of their table, and it will be available to all users of BBEst and EstLite, for download in the usual way, just as soon as it is released.

In the mean time, a gentle hint from one or two of their customers might encourage them to get the finger out.

A&T have told me that the new moulding table is nearly finished - hopefully they will have built it in a way that can be kept up to date. A version of Nielsens table will downlaod automatically if you tick the correct box. It seems to be significant that a number of suppliers are applying fairly big increases to prices. Many suppliers are having a tough time at the moment - arent we all.

Hi Frameus,

My first post since joining and I didn't think it would be a IT related one. The .zip file they sent will be a compressed file ( or zipped) making it small enough to send by e-mail. It will probably be a compressed Excel file which can be opened by double clicking on the zip file, highlight the file contained in the zip and extract it to a location of your choice on your computer.
You may find that you will need to install WINZIP if it is not on your machine already. A free version should be available on www.download.com.

Hope this is what you were looking for.

Regards

Steve

price increases

A &T have now told me that their intended price rise will take effect from 1st December. Nielsen's rep. is unaware of any intended rises.
