Running on a Mac Powerbook under OS 10.4 using Firefox.
Nice looking site.
A couple of hiccoughs I found, though:
“www.artfacts.org ” came up “could not find” (got a Verizon index page), and neither of the two slideshows I clicked came up.

Thanks for the compliment.
My programmer used Dreamweaver® via a Mac.... tested on Firefox 3.0 and IE 7.0 The samples are individual images, not a slide show ... click on the small image and a larger one appears - as a pop up - maybe you have to allow pop ups to see them.
I can't answer why you are having a problem
