Re: 6th annual picture framers TECHNOLOGY use survey
Mike,
Would it be possible at end of Nov to publish the results in 2 columns?
First one, all the USA and Canadian framers.
Second one "others" which will probably be mostly U.K. framers.
It would be interesting to compare answers from both sides of the pond.
I encourage UK framers to do the survey - it only takes afew mins, and you can then compare yourself with all the others.

Re: 6th annual picture framers TECHNOLOGY use survey
The results are collected anonymously through a third party website, and as far as I know - they don't collect information about where each vote comes from. If they do, they don't pass it along to me, because it might identify how some people voted.
I know they track IP's to make sure no one is cheating, but they don't share that with me when the poll is over.
In the future, maybe I can put a question in that asks one's geographic location. That may be interesting!
Thanks for the great feedback, and for participating

Re: 6th annual picture framers TECHNOLOGY use survey
A special thanks to all who participated in our 6th annual framing tech poll. We had close to 200 participants this time. Most were from USA.
Here are the full results: http://www.custompictureframing.com/poll_results.htm
Some highlights: (the above link has full details)
Keep in mind that a sampling of ~200 framers doesn't necessarily represent the whole industry. Those of us on forums also tend to be technically inclined folks. Feel free to discuss, but use the data with caution.
Bet regards and thanks again for participating!

Re: 6th annual picture framers TECHNOLOGY use survey
Mike,
On behalf of the "mostly" UK framers here, I would like to thank you for this really useful & interesting framing tech poll. Agree it may be biased as you rightly say - Forum readers are tech savvy.
I am quite sure if a similar poll was done on this forum the results would be quite different.
50% with visulisation software, 75% with POS
and 70 % with CMC's
John ( at Estlite) whats your estimate of how many UK framers have POS?

Re: 6th annual picture framers TECHNOLOGY use survey
Those figures are pretty true of the US market, though.
Next year Ill try to break it into 2 polls. One for US only and one for UK. I think the results may be more meaningful. I'm sure ESTLite will be #1 on the localized version, hands down.
