This is the view from our conservatory!
The drainage in that field is terrible - at times you can see water spouting up from it. It drains at 3 points in to the gulley in our garden. One where you see it, another to the right where you se those rivulets along the fence and from a pipe to the left that comes from the woods at the top of the field.
The gulley flows in to an open 9" pipe to the left, which we have put a grate in front of. Up until a few years back our garden would flood in these conditions - then the council cleared the pipe out and found, amongst other things blocking it, a rugby ball that looked suspiciously like one my step son had lost!
Couldn't be doing with the garden flooding - all our fish would leg it - well, fin it!
