Acrylic Domes and Boxes

Post by Keith »

Hi All.
I would be grateful if anyone recommend a supplier of acrylic domes / boxes for framing, similar to the ones that Lion have, only Lion don’t supply the range of sizes that they used to, and the draw depths are a bit shallow anyway.

Thanks Keith.

A guy from a company called Frame Maker in Milton Keynes called on me a few weeks back. Here is a link to their website.

http://www.framemakermk.co.uk/default.aspx

He was trying to flog me acryllic domes which he was prepared to sell singly from the van but if I wanted to order there was a minimum quantity (can't remember how many).

He was also trying to sell me ready made frames/mounts for sports shirts. Basically a cheapo plastic frame with an outer mount then an inner mount with three sides of an aperture cut which created a flap which you shoved inside the shirt. When I asked about the method of attachment he told me they used "clips" or stuck them to the back of the mount with tape. But apparently the tape is conservation grade!!!

The conversation was terminated (politely) soon after.
