Hi Rhiannon Framing,
Keeping your machine clean, well oiled and the blades correctly fitted, sharpe and hollow ground with the correct draft on the left hand fence is important, always make a small test frame in a 3inch flat moulding after changing your blades with a postage size stamp whole, this will show up any adjustment needed in the left hand fence.

When cutting making sure you have your rebates supports are set correctly ( just kissing under the rebate not to high or to low )and the moulding is held tight and dose not rock, also if you do not use a Morso left hand support make sure that the moulding supporting bench is level with the machine.

You MITRE KNOWN that :giggle:

Thanks for all that. I am a new morso user and I've bought a neglected morso on ebay. I've changed the blades and given it a good clean but it is still not working well. I need someone to look at it and give it a bit of an overhaul.
