ARTIST PLUS OR GOLD

Post by ALEC »

Hi all
Just managed to find a good morso now looking for a mount cutter. The morso was easy to find, theyre all pretty much the same... but it`s a different story regarding a mount cutter, the choice is so varied. I`d like an ultimate gold but a bit pricey. Anyone got any thoughts on the 48" Artist Plus?? or recommend any other reasonably priced unit. :head:

i ummed and arred about the ultimate gold but figured i wasnt going to be cutting mounts from dawn til dusk so went for the Artist Plus which has been absolutely fine for my needs, maybe average ten mounts per day with the occasional production lline of 20 to 30

You might consider getting a secondhand mountcutter, this can be a great way of getting the best out of your budget. I've got a secondhand Ultimat, (not the Ultimat gold) and it has served me well.

There's plenty of these around as secondhand, so it's worth looking around and there's no problem getting spares. The main things subject to wear are the nylon bearings which are cheap and easy to replace.
