Price check time again?

Post by kev@frames »

2009 Average frame job:

straightforward 20x16 or 50x40cm frame with a mount, glazed, print fitted: (10 or 15 minute job)

Price to the customer for one unit, over the counter, including VAT if you are registered ("till price"), your usual standard glass product, your usual over the counter mount board product, should cover all the bases, no comments required or conservation policing - ie "Run What You Brung" the stuff you sell in your shop to your average customer.

I'll kick off:

cheapest on the board moulding choice: 30.93
top of the normal range moulding: 85.67

anyone else?

€54.20 to €203.20

Finding it hard to compare prices to Sterling Zone. I dont think exchange rate is the best method as it was x 1.5 and now its x 1.2

Just wondering what the prices are for the following in the UK area

mars bar
cappuccino to go
broadsheet newspaper

Well, around here it's approx €1.10

So if it costs £1.00 your way i'm off on pricing

However if your .60p i'm in the right ball park

I know it sounds a bit strange, but it's a bettter benchmark than exchange rates.

Current exchange rate is 1.18 euros per pound

In London a Mars bar is about 50p
A cappuccino is £2 to £2.50(but we all drink skinny latte here darling - cappuccino is so provincial! So 20th century!!)

Perhaps it would be a good idea if we all quoted on two precise mouldings, we would then get a better comparison.

Just for giggles, our bottom of the line (simple black, document frame) would be $100.90 (£60.00) while out median price moulding ($13.80) would run $156.90 (£93.30).

We don’t have a sales tax (VAT), nor are we in a particularly high rent district. Our prices compared to most U. S. Grumblers are slightly on the low side.
