WANTED Morso F and small workshop equipment

Post by pinkybanks »

I'm just in the process of looking to buy equipment for a small home based workshop. My intention is to become a full time picture framer upon leaving the forces in 18 months, so need some nice clean respectfully used tools that will comfortably see me into my new venture. Thought I'd start here, as apposed to Ebay in my search for all things FRAMEY.

this might be of interest - its still available and open to sensible offer - a retirement sale http://theframersforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=3816 its a friend of mine selling up, its all in pretty sound condition, also some workbenches etc. Probably spot on for a new start up. Its in North Cornwall.

I have family down there and would jump at the offer, but the Morso is in Imperial. Can a metric measure be be fitted retrospectivly?

Hi pinkybanks
Welcome to the Forum. You will find quite a few ex forces on here, now working for a living.

As part of your resettlement try and get on a residential framing course. Well worth it to give you that start on a new career path.

Good luck. Ex RN FAA

I got my Morso metric scales from Lion a few years back. They are self adhesive.

we use the same scales, adhesive stick on. no problems with them at all. Always worth baring in mind if you get the standard morso F as well (the non-"deluxe") because they dont have an engraved scale on them.

Guys thank you for such a warm welcome to the forum, and the advice regarding the potential to overlay a metric guide. Think I'll pop down to Lion in Birmingham and see them in the flesh before jumping in with both feet.
