Has anyone got 20 or so 7mm V-nails for an Alpha M1 Underpinner? We're awaiting delivery of new Casesse machine and just picked up a job with a miniscule frame - too small to use 10mm nails on. I know it's only about £4 to buy new but I don't want 26million, I only need 4 actually!!
Cheers

Re: 7mm V-Nails for Alpha M1
Hi
I have checked and I do not have any 7mm. Sorry...
One question I do want to ask, I am OK with my 1M but do you really believe the Casesse product is that much better. Obviously if you are going to air powered or a completely more sophisticated model, then fair enough. If however it was a like for like, say a Casesse 88, is this model on a par or that much more better than the 1M?
I know you are only after a few V-nails, but it did intrigue me to think why you were changing manufacturers.
Regards

Re: 7mm V-Nails for Alpha M1
Hi DJ,
We were totally green regarding machinery when we set up last year and for the work we plan to do we soon realised that the uderpinner we bought (or more like, got sold) is an OK entry-level machine, it was probably not going to be "heavy duty" enough. Over the last 6 months of using the Alpha, I've got to know it, love it, curse it and blame it for everything but at least I can make a professionally acceptable frame with it.
We have a pretty good relationship with our local branch of Wessex and they took the time to find and show us varoius air operated pinners. It's thanks to their rep Pete (who they've just laid off) that in the end we opted for the Casesse 299 - pretty big and fast and probably just as likely to get blamed for everything!

By the way, DIY framing in Beaconsfield have sent me a couple of dozen 7mm nails - many thanks to them.
