Take me straight to the Horse & Jockey in Wrexham
Being in the army I never got home much - but there was a brief time when I got home most weekends - to N Wales from Salisbury Plain, with a bunch of mates, and we'd always meet at this pub before going on a crawl - which would be a corking crawl - Wrexham had two breweries and you gave directions by the pubs.
One of these songs always seemed to be playing in that pub - 1973 or 74 - I can close my eyes, smell the fire and taste the beer when I hear either of them.
That's where the music takes me

great tracks - fantastic memory - is this a recent pic? looks like a serious 'drinkers' pub not one on these 'gastro crap' places that allow kids in!!
when all is said and done - there is more said than done.

With the vision express next door it must be fairly recent - just something I found on the interweb - I don't get back there much these days - last time was for a reunion last Sept and the time before that was my Mother's funeral in 2000. Both breweries gone now.
But I took some time out from the reunion - walked around the town centre - and what ALL the pubs - including this one, had in common, was a bunch of suited big fat bald heavies outside. There were probably some outside the hotel we held the reunion at - but they would have just blended in with 90% of the guests that weekend - most of my ex-army buddies are in to 'security' - many preceded with 'social' - unfortunately.
