Googled ????

Post by Bagpuss »

Sorry to have to ask but I've noticed this on my PC for the last couple of weeks and can't figure it out ??
Where has my buttons to search "the web" or "pages from the UK" in Google ?
Has anyone else had this before ?

Just hit 'Google Search' without typing anything and 'Pages from the UK' comes up on the left - assuming 'the web' if you don't select that. Plus there's a 'more' drop down.

think they may have changed something slightly - when i first click on google from favourites - the page looks like yours . then if i enter eg gordon brown the list is about 17,100,000 (just under the search box) then on the left is option uk only click on that 5,080,000 ! lots more filter options also on the left - but yes it looks different - but not caused me a problem. I have noticed the first google banner you see is often slightly different eg on st georges day it was st g killing the dragon and yesterday it was some weird computer science thing!
when all is said and done - there is more said than done.

Click the "I'm Feeling Lucky" button and on the next page that comes up there is a Pages from the UK option on the left.

Much preferred the old way with it on the first page.

Thanks for that work around, it sounds as if you're experiencing the same problem, strangely it doesn't seem to happen on my laptop, never mind .

Thanks for everyone's help on this.
