If you have an air supply and can get a pnuematic gun then they do drive the points/tabs in further.
Flexi tabs in ready made frames that get back and forward a number of times do tend to work loose and so an air gun is a better bet in the long run. I picked up a 2nd hand Omer 53 for £30.
