Hi everybody,
This is my first post, so be gentle with me, thought you might be interested in my recent inquiry into insurance. I had a standard buildings and contents insurance with Lloyds TSB costing £458.78 last year, which included £500 cover for tools in my workshop. The renewal for this year is £552.99. I phoned NFU Mutual, they suggested a Homeworker policy which insured my business ( £10 million employers liability, 2.5 million public liability, £5,000 customers goods held in trust, £1500 single item of tooling, £10,000 personal accident, £2500 worth of stock, it goes on and on, I couldn't believe it.And all for £530.81. Oh, and by the way this includes building and contents of my bungalow as well. Bit of a no brainer really.

Welcome Howard.
i also use NFU for my retail policy. Not only are they pretty good on premiums, but you can pay monthly for a few pennies extra.

I'd give a big
to the NFU. You probably could get (marginally)cheaper if you looked around, but with NFU the service is more personal and I deal with a local agent. Generally when I ring they know who I am. Which is nice.
