Can anyone identify this four inch moulding please?

Tricky one John. Simons used to do several in that profile, but I don't remember that finish. I used to get the profile in plain wood from a local supplier (Mitrecraft). If I remember rightly they had it made by a sawmill somewhere in Norfolk who ceased trading a while ago. As have Mitrecraft.

I believe this is an Italian Moulding. Renaissance used to supply it. But they now only offer it in Ivory finish, They call it 44 Avorio. Maybe you could overpaint the ivory black.

You are right Piper, Sebastiaan from QWM (formerly Pheonix) has confirmed that it was one of theirs. Unfortunately discontinued in 2001.
