Quickie

Only posting this 'cause it's quiet really - this was brought in and done on the same day for an early Christmas present for the customer's father, it's a piece of Wedgewood, quite collectable, long story.

The father was constantly handling it and there was a fear he may drop it or something, so it had to be done right then while he was out for the day , customer was not sure if he'd like it framed so it had to be done in a way that could be undone to leave it exactly as it was. They came to the right place!

You can see that Winston has a 'collar' of Melinex, about 1.5mm wide, but it lies where a shadow falls anyway and it's also the method I'd've advised regardless.

The colour of the top mount and the wrapped bevel is closer to the suedette mount than it looks in the photo, didn't take a photo of the frame, it wasn't a good choice.

Good Job, I don't think the mount is out of character, It is often better to compliment or contrast when trying to match than make a poor match which doesn't quite hit the mark. I think that looks great.
