buckled papyrus
a customer brought in 4 framed papyrus today- stored in an attic for the last four years and now badly buckled - having taken one apart and found the mount glued with spray mount to the work, the mount came away easily due to the damp no doubt, the customer would like them flat as new ! so any ideas on how to acheive this? the original framers no longer exist.

On the assumption that the art is not valuable (cheap tourist purchase) I would suggest a drymount with the heat activated film vs tissue. You might have to clean off any old spray adhesive with Heptane of lighter fluid. Cut the tissue 3mm smaller that the item before applying to the mount board.
Or in a 2 step process - 1). apply the tissue to the back of the papyrus in a sandwich of release paper. 2). removed when warm from the release paper and then mount to a board (after the excess adhesive is removed).
