Can you all check this site, http://www.cassellsports.co.uk:80/www.c ... o.php?p=10 I've just had email from sombody who pointed out that two of my images from my site are being used on this site. Top row second in on the left and bottom row last on right are both mine, I'm just about to send them an email, telling them to remove them today otherwise I will take legal action. Please check it out, if it's more of you we could take a group action.

Make sure you screenshot the page before sending your sieze and decist notice.

Copyright claims are notoriously expensive to run, so probably not a grea route if they refused. Personally, I would send them an invoice by registered post for the use of the work along with your letter.

Or i'd be tempted to quickly upload it exclusively to getty images then report the violation to them. Their solicitors (Picscout) are very agressive in their tactic -- although not sure how much of the money you personally would see.

This seems to me to be more than just breach of copyright regarding your images, they’re using examples of your framing service as examples of their framing service!! That’s just unbelievable.

I would like to see what sort of a job they are doing at £40!!!

Perhaps we all ought to watermark our images on websites, blogs etc.

Just an update,
They have replied to my email, apologising for the error, and could I check to make sure all my images have been removed. I have just checked the site and they have removed them all. I will be checking back on the site to make sure they do not use them again

I agree with J2M about what a £40.00 job would look like

I have been thinking of watermarking my images that I use on my sites, looks like I'm going to have to do it, pretty easy in Photoshop (famous last words), just set up an action.

I'm, glad that there has been a happy outcome for you Steve N.

However, I believe that the forum should be used to name and shame in this fashion only after all other attempts at remedy have been exhausted, and not as the first port of call.

Sorry John,
My first post was to make other members aware and to check to see if any of their images were being used in this way, so they could also ask for them to be removed from that site. I did not set out to name and shame, only to point members to maybe an infringement of their property, I'm sorry if looked that way.

Don't forget to send them an invoice now they've accepted liability -- a £35 invoice if you put a little bit of pressure on them may get paid
