Photos - zooming

Post by Roboframer »

When a photo is attached in a post there's a + to click on. When you click it you get the photo imposed over the post and sometimes it's the same size and sometimes it's sliiiiiiiiightly larger.

On that imposed image theres a + and a - to click on and no matter which you (or at least I) click, the imposed photo disappears and you're back to the post. At one time, if the file was originally a large one you'd get a massive image if you clicked the + that you could see more detail on.

Click on the photo in the OP here http://theframersforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=7735

You'll get the photo imposed over the post with a + and a - in the top left corner of it. What happens for you if you click on the + ?

When I click on the photo in the original post I get the larger, superimposed picture, but this one only has a '-' in the top left corner - there's no option to make it even biggerer....

Morning John,

With me if I click it moves 3 cm to the right and stays same size.

I notice on both this and TG quite a few have problems posting pics. I'm sure J McF will write something to help. The pictures are often the best part of the this forum

robo

its to do with what size image is uploaded i think

if you click the plus the first time it displayed fitted on screen, then if i click again it zooms to the full size of the image, but the forum wont then allow zooming any bigger than the image actually is

i get a plus sign to enlarge and then a plus sign and a minus - the plus enlarges again - both over the top of the post. Is it to do with the size of the monitor your using that lets you enlarge twice?

It seems to be a browser issue, Roboframer.

The zoom buttons seem to work OK in Firefox (and probably other browsers), but not in Internet Explorer.

Aha! I never use anything else, I'll switch to chrome or something in future if I want to see more detail in a photo. Cheers.

I got the same as Tim, ie only the option to reduce once Plussed. Then I use Firefox anyway.

You get that, misterdiy, when the image is only slightly compressed and the first plus is enough to show it at its full size.

Try it with a much larger image.
