Ultimat Gold cutting issue

Post by pramsay13 »

Hopefully I can explain this properly... :?
I have a very slight issue, that is annoying to me.
At the top of each cut, probably for the first 5 - 10mm, there is a slight diagonal in the cut, probably no more than 1mm.
It is obviously the blade trying to find its line from first being pushed down.
Is there any way to improve this, perhaps being more gently when pushing the blade in, more forceful, tougher blades?

It's called 'hooking' ... blades are too deep. Mine did it too until I adjusted it.

as stated your blade is too deep.
you need to reduce the depth until it just scores your piece of under mount board.

Ah, that makes sense. I lengthened it a bit recently as a couple of cuts didn't go right through, so I pushed it through a bit further.
Cheers

when cutting make sure you don't put any pressure on the clamp arm, that lifts the blade slightly causing the blade not to cut all the way through on some cuts.
