Standard v thick mountboard

Post by Ray »

When using standard mountboard on my Keencut Ultimat I have my stops set as they should be (i.e cutting a 50mm aperture in standard mountboard stops would be set at 50mm). When using thicker mountboard does there need to be an allowance made on the settings of the stops to obtain a perfect cut. I am finding that the cut is slightly short when using thicker mountboard.

Yes , we tested until perfect and wrote down what changes needed to be made.
Don't forget your stops are only where they should be because it was calibrated at the factory for 1.4 mm card.

I would add that your stops are only accurate if the depth of blade is reset correctly after you have finished cutting the thicker board, so you will need to do some test cuts
