Does anyone know this moulding? it may be made especially for them? I'm looking for the same or similar.

I think that you'll find that is their own moulding. Their own comments in the text suggest as much.

I have not got my catalogues with me, but I don't think that this is an "off the shelf" standard moulding.

I've used a lot of similar mouldings over the years, but I can remember seeing that exact profile before.

Nice isn't it! :)

In particular, I noticed the very shallow cut away radius on the back of the moulding, which is probably that shallow to avoid the edge from breaking away, when cutting on a Morso!

Back edge looks pretty ragged to me, especially seeing as it's finished after joining.

I'm finding that some of my artist customers like the rough battered and weathered look, hard to achieve on a factory finished moulding. So far I have only used simple square and L shaped profiles for hand finishing so I'm looking for a nice shaped moulding to make up some samples.

Any suggestions for a proven profile in obeche?

R&H A138 is a good one. It's got a flat back which gives it a 'modern' look. Nice simple moulding but not too plain. Very good for the arty-washy type finishes. It's not a million miles away from the one you were looking for. The undercut on the back is a prob on a Morso, but WTH. I got me some filler.
A168 is also good and a good price for the size. Bit more classical.
The magic one has to be A24. Not too big and not too small. I use it on small oils. Particularly good on impressionist-type work.

Looks like Rose & Hollis A108 Obeche. That cut away at the back edge looks like it might cause some problems though.

Just looked at their website. Was the MD the guy featured in Grand Designs on the telly a while back doing up a house in Bath and not seeing eye to eye with the council building inspectors and planning dept?

I was actually referring to these folk - http://www.thepictureframers.co.uk/index.php who Alan was talking about in his original post. Apologies for any confusion.
