Ready made frames-help needed

Post by dandydon07 »

Hi all,

This is probabaly an odd request but I am looking for advice on where to get ready made frames.

I dont usually like using ready made frames but I have an upcoming job for a local charity that are going to be doing an art exhibition and of course, looking to keep the price down.
I do help this charity out all through the year but this time around they are looking for between 100 and 150 frames so , one, I cant do this amount FOC and two, I dont have the time to do this amount without the 'bonus' of a really good profit.
I have attached three pictures of the frames they are looking to get. They dont have to be exactly the same but the closer the better.
The frame itself is black with grain and is 3cm width. The circumference size of the frame is 345mm x 260mm, the mount size is A4 (297x210) and the image size is 170x120. The image sizes may vary but now that I have a cmc I am happy to do these mounts myself but any help with the frames would be really appreciated.

Many Thanks,

Ian

Why not just buy a few boxes of Polcore and chop them yourself? Shouldn't take too long?

Thanks for your help guys.

I have contacted simons and have now managed to get a great price from them.....which saves me having to take the moulding in and cutting myself. Would only save a quid or two each frame if I did it all myself. Fair enough its £100-£200 but the amount of time i'll save, its worth it.

Thanks again,

Ian
