I'm looking at learning about the basics of laminating (for photographs). This will be at the lower volume/cost market whilst trying to do a quality job. Are there any other reasonable courses other than Lion (I've not have replies from them) that members are aware of (preferably in S E England)?
Thanks
Cliff

Re: Laminating courses
Have you tried Youtube?. I've seen manufacturers of machinery demonstrating different techniques on heat mounting, laminating etc. Its more down to trial and error see what works best for you.

Re: Laminating courses
lamination is a skill, there is technique to it
and a lot of it is really not as easy as it looks
hotpress used to do open days, showing the main techniques, when steve goodall was there
not sure if they still do it
normally they would do them at different distributors showrooms

Re: Laminating courses
Thanks for the responses.
The episodes I've seen on You Tube seem to focus on individual machines. The ones on the Zenith laminators looked good. However they don't tell you what materials to choose (and how) and similar questions. And most important are the things not to do.
Thanks
Cliff

Re: Laminating courses
any of those videos will only give you a very basic idea
for example if your going to do cold press lamination (rollers) you need very smooth gloss prints
