What am I missing?
Cutting mounts the other day and I realised that on the larger ones (something like 600x600) my final cut was an overcut by about 2mm. The other corners are fine, it doesn't happen on something like 300x300. I thought the stops are off but wouldn't that affect every cut? I just think this is slightly odd?

I think it is quite obvious,
The Hadron collider, producing tiny black holes all over the place is interfering with time, space and the general laws of physics
No idea really it's an odd one.

Are your boards dead square? If not, the corner nearest you may not be tight up to the end. If you get my drift.

Well, I did have my manservant shaking my midday martini whilst I was doing the cutting - maybe the particle collisions in the flask caused it!! You may be onto something there
All square, each corner is neat against the cutter guides anyway. Oh well, I'm sure it'll all work out in the end anyway!
Cheers guys

Re: What am I missing?
What mountcutter do you have? I have an Ultimat Gold and I've realised that sometimes I can give the bottom stop a bit of a dunt which can knock it out by a mm or two. This wouldn't necessarily be an issue for larger cuts per se but that might be when you are less in control of movement, or you finish off with a flourish.

Yes, I always like to finish my mounts with a little flourish
But you're 100% right about the dunts, I've moved that bottom stop several times in the past with my manly mount cutting finishing flourishes (until I realised and said 'oh')
Oh, and it's the Keencut Artist Plus, not the best I'll admit - bought it at the start of this business 2nd hand. But if I knew then what I know now I don't think I'd have it. Nevertheless, it's more than paid for itself at this point.
Thanks for reply btw
