I wouldn't bait The Old Master (had to be very careful how I worded that - LOL)

Anyway, starch paste for me even if it's not as convenient - it's purer and stronger ... and cheaper.

Well known conservator, isn't that an oxymoron?

Or has Brad Pitt has become one recently? :)

Carry on then, if you think I'm batting this one back and forth just because you want something to do while it's quiet in your haberdashery, you've got another think coming.

Mary, I think you have a couple of alternatives to choose from, provided you can filter the sources out from the from the rest of the tomfoolery! One final point from me to bear in mind, Methyl Cellulose doesn't need cooking like wheat starch paste does. However, if you feel for any reason that you want to go that route, I have a microwave recipe that I've used in the past - send me a PM if you want details.

There's plenty of info on how to do it on line from people willing to share publicly - just for example (after a very few seconds search) http://www.thegrumble.com/showthread.ph ... g-Protocol

This is a forum, for sharing ideas - there's nothing wrong with communicating privately but what's the need to initiate a private conversation publicly?

Mary, you do indeed have several options, which is nice - and that includes the alternative suggestions to sticking down that you asked for - if you want elaboration ask here, publicly, for the benefit of others, now and in the future with the search facility.
