Hi all
New to the industry.. in fact.. not really started as yet! however, I would like to frame an historic postcard so that both sides can be seen. obviously i want to protect the card. I am sure there is an established method for this..but I just dont know it yet any ideas appreciated.
thanks all and stay as dry as you can

mounting postcards to see both sides
Re: mounting postcards to see both sides
Welcome to the Forum!
If you want top see the whole thing (float mount) you could encapsulate it with clear archival polyester film, if not it could sit in back-to-back reverse bevel mount apertures.

Re: mounting postcards to see both sides
Hi
Thanks for reply. I thought of the second idea but how to attach to the mount is my concern. Would archival tape be suitable and kind to the card?
Cheers

It sits in the back-to-back bevels like this <------------> with no tape or adhesive required. The mounts need to be glued together as close to the edges as possible so the card cannot slip down between them.
You could always photocopy the back of the card and stick it on the back of a normal frame.
