Football Shirt, shorts and socks anyone ?

Post by Bagpuss »

Hi,
I've done loads of framed football shirts over the years but today I have been asked to frame a full kit for a commemorative service on Monday i.e. shirt, shorts and socks, no pressure... has anyone got a photo they could post of something similar please ? I would be very grateful.

Thanks in advance,
Adam/Bagpuss

I did a top and shorts combo recently. https://www.facebook.com/thepicturefram ... 3bfb580ca0
The overall shape looks a bit weird to me but that's the way the customer wanted it. If I was adding socks I'd probably want to drape them over the shorts somehow, frame was already around 1200mm high so as big as my mountcutter could do.

I can understand why you might want the kit framing, but think the socks take things a bit too far! If it's what they want, though, I suppose..

I have also seen a few great examples of boots that have been framed so be thankful they don't want them in the same framing, lol.

Give the client a few options for layouts and see which they prefer.

I think socks is a bit much as well but the customer is dropping off the kit tomorrow, I'll try and make a suggestion. Sadly, this is for the family of a young professional footballer who died recently and they want a couple of frames on display at the service, very sad.

I'd suggest the socks were rolled in to a ball or folded, just leaving the ankle cuff exposed and whenever I've framed shorts with a shirt I've put the shorts at an angle below the shirt, if you did that it would create some space to one side of the shorts for the rolled/folded socks, one above the other, which I think would look better than below the shorts side-by-side, rolled/folded or not.

Must be right though, there's a big tick under it.
