I've just experienced a couple of examples of "the bank holiday effect". It does not neccessarily happen for every bank holiday, but it happened this week.
Customers who were given artworks as presents suddenly need to get them framed before the giver of said artwork comes to visit on the bank holiday weekend. How nice for them (and us too!)
