Hot Press near to me?

Post by GeoSpectrum »

Hello, I have ac ustomer who has a poster that has been rolled up for too long in a tube. I don't think I can flatten it using my JM26, does anyone on here know who the nearest framer would be who has a hot press? I'm near gainsborough (DN21 5lZ).

Thanks
Alan

Can't you put it under weights for a few days?

Just thinking that if you can't persuade it into a roller press you will have similar problems with a vac.

This isn't the same thing but it's an idea.. is there any chance you could lie it flat underneath a heavy rug? Unless it's ridiculously heavy paper you should find that this is enough to flatten it. It may take a little while though, so if your client wants it urgently perhaps the hot press would still be the way to go.

I use a Bienfang 'De-Roller. Works a treat.
