Thanks for that John but that begs the question why the people at Lion who are surely wanting to sell it can't get it operating correctly?
And I have also just noticed that I can't find anything on YouTube for the Futura - only the Ultimat Gold

But I'm scared of you now that I've seen an Excalibur 5000!

It was one person, wasn't it? Not everyone employed by Lion knows each piece of equipment inside-out.

If you buy a new one it comes calibrated by Keencut for 4-ply board.

The reasons for overcuts are simple, the blade is entering the board too soon and/or exiting it too late, vice-versa for undercuts. The adjustments are also simple, either move the sliding measuring scale to read on the stop what is actually being given, or, in the case of the futura and the ultimat gold before it, 'dial' it out by extending/retracting the stop the distance of the overcut/undercut.

There are 6 ciggies left in my packet and when they are gone the £8.50 for the next packet will go into my 'Futura Fund' and I will be a non-smoker.

You will only get overcuts if the stops are set too far ie: 18mm instead of 10mm!

I will be getting mine at the end of March and looking forward to it very much.

It works out quite well actually as I need to create the items that I intend to frame before I can frame them! LOL
