We use steel plan chests for customers work with no access holes so that they are rodent proof.

We have the occasional mouse in the workshop, particularly at this time of the year :roll:

Never had a mouse in the workshop. Frogs yes, but no mouses. :lol:

The reason I don't like metal plan chests is that all the ones I've seen tend to be rusty so they are probably prone to condensation.

Ours are composite I suppose. They have wooden sides and metal drawers and metal running gear. Never had a problem with condensation, then when you are storing as much mountboard as we are, you have to ensure it stays dry so the workshop has low level heating from Autumn till Spring.

We have had two mice so far this year and I still reckon there is one about.
