I just looked (morso is in the same room as the computer, which is in the back of the shop, which I get to via a door in the kitchen ) and mine has the holes in - I presume yours is an old un?

Funny thing is I can always sleep at the drop of a hat in the day - I often have trouble sleeping at night. I've been like that ever since I did 2 years of permanent nightshift. You'd think after 20 years my sleep patterns would have got back to normal!

I used to do rotating shifts 30 years ago and I still have the jet-lag. I have my breakfast before go to bed. Saves time in the morning.

Yuk! This tea is horrible. I think I'll make a fresh one. (Which I will drink about noon.)

Might be a brain chemistry thang. I'm exactly the same, especially in the winter months. If I could get punters to come in during the wee hours, I'd have it sussed!

Would it be a fair guess that, in your former manifestations, you would find it the devil's own job to get out of the bed on a weekday, but found it impossible to sleep on at weekends?

Yup! Even now I can quite happily sleep in until 9:45 in the week, when I have to open the shop at 10, but up at 7am almost every Sunday

I have a pair of those and they work well except the left hand one slips unless I tighten it with both hands. No idea why that is.

I notice that your rebate supports don't have the usual half round cut-out in the bottom of the steel right angle section and the little round bit which is so good at denting soft mouldings.

Is this your own modification or did it come like this?

I've always wondered if the little round bit serves any useful purpose. If so what?

Not sure if it was designed for it, but I often use the "half-moon" to ensure that both rebate supports are reaching fully in to the back of the rebate when setting the height, if you get my drift.

No, wait a min. I think I know what ya mean. When the rebate support is fully down the halfmoony hole fits over the little round bit. Right? Mine (c1985) hasn't got either.

btw. Áine. I haven't got your drift. Where did you see it last? Maybe it has fallen down behind the dishwaser.

Hi, I've been following this thread! So are we saying the little round bit actually serves a purpose or not. I agree with NYAF, it's great for denting moulding

That cut out was on the rebate supports that came with mine, but not on the deep rebate supports I added - and since I added them within a week of purchase I never worried about what they were for.

I'm away out to have another go at freeing up that wretched support. I'll let yous know how I get on>
