Songs all spot on, but artist-wise I was going with

3 - Seal/Adamski
5. - Gabriel & Bush
4. - Smiths

"Had it been another day..." Beatles - I've Just Seen a Face
"...green and submarine ..." Floyd - Echoes

"I'll get all my papers and smile at the sky" Who - Won't Get Fooled Again

Struggling with the rest...

----

Remaining unidentified items from my first list...

- Does your cistern still leak?

- Can I take you to a restaurant that's got glass tables?

All very easy...... except perhaps the last one. :D

1] Take another shot of courage. Wonder why the right words never come?

2] I was feeling complicated. I was feeling low. Now everytime I think of you, I shiver to the bone...

3] Gonna use my, my, my imagination.

4] Thinking about what a friend had said, I was hoping it was a lie.....

5] You find a nice soft corner and you sit right down. Take up your guitar and play....

6] When the wicked carried us away in captivity.

7] There's a man outside, in a long coat, grey hat, smoking a cigarette.

8] I see the girls walk by dressed in their summer clothes....

9] But I just had to look, having read the book.....

10] When illusion spins her net, I'm never where I want to be....

11] You say "go slow". I fall behind. The second hand unwinds...

This is an entire song. If anyone gets it, I'll eat my socks.

12] The elements that gather here
Upon this hill shall cast no fear
Of lines that match across the world
For travel which no man has ever heard

The moon that shines its beam so bright
Of stones that measure the silvery light
Of energy that travels here
It happens on the seventh year

From the realms beyond the sun
Here our lifetime has begun
Perhaps to die
A day shall come, we shall be as one....

Mega-astounded that you can't get 10. I look at the floor....etc. No more clues on that one. :)

And 12. :? Here's a bit more

#Businessman, he drinks my wine. Ploughman digs my earth.#

* I got a vague inkling on the cistern one. Can't remember the guy's name, but I can picture him. Long hair and bushy sideburns... :P

If you can't figure No. 10 , click here. You'll kick yourself. :P

A buggrit - an old Album I have 'Octoberon' by Barclay James Harvest - 1976! The track is 'Suicide' nice!

Click this and then the second red play button down

http://mog.com/music/Barclay_James_Harvest

.... and sing along, it goes on a bit, but there's a nice splat effect at the end. On the actual album track you get the footsteps, the door creaking open etc. Always cheers me up if 'm a bit low :)

woke up to a feeling, it was cold by my side
You had gone with the sunrise, leaving tears in my eyes
I got up with a feeling of an emptiness inside
To the noise of the sidewalk and the silence of my mind
Well I walked out this morning, down a street with no name
To a club called "The Loser", like a dog that's gone lame
Took the club elevator to the floor with a view
I took out life subscription - that's the only one they do

I stepped out on the guard rail, saw the crowds slowly part
Heard a voice shouting "Don't jump, please for God's sake let me move my car!"
Felt a hand on my shoulder, heard a voice cry "Just in time!"
Felt the quick push, felt the air rush
Felt the sidewalk, fell in line

Boney M - So it is, John! Not really sorry that I didn't get that one... Preferred "There's a dentist in Birmingham...".. :)

Got it Prospero: "Home Thoughts From Abroad" is such a beautiful poem! :)

Mogster's Round 3
---------------------------

3.1 - Alone on a platform, the wind and the rain on your sad and lonely face

3.2 - Young hearts are foolish, they make such mistakes

3.3 - Lamppost hangs his head in disgrace

3.4 - I gazed a gazely stare

3.5 - Nights when we sang like a heavely choir

3.6 - What's it gonna take to make the dream survive?

3.7 - Girl versus boy in the world series of love

3.8 - I travelled the world and the seven seas

3.9 - Is she sleeping? I don't think so.

3.10 - Sitting in my dark cupboard with my great big cake

There's a connecting theme to all of the above which is fairly easy to deduce, but for a couple of tracks, the connection's not immediately obvious: do you know why they fit?

3:3 Think it might be My White Bicyle -Naz
3:4 The Man Who Sold the World - Bowie
3:5 OOOOO That's a hard one. Where did I park me bagpipes?
3:8 Sweet Dreams - Eurythmics
3:9 Jenifer Juniper - Donovan

Can't spot the connection though.....

Toughies!

* Me ears are alight! = "The Israelites" - Desmond Dekker
* There's a bathroom on the right = Bad Moon Rising - CCR
* I'm a dick with a glove. - Don't know the song. Guessing the actual lyric is "I'm a victim of love?" :?

I'll have to pass on the others...

Just clicked the first link above - tee hee!

Re Misheard 5 - That's cheeky, even by his nibs' standards! Still can't get my head round his early departure from this realm. Prodigiously talented man.... (Not to mention incredibly charismatic! 8) )
