Update...

Since I've progressed this, I'd love to hear a little feedback if anyone can help.

All in all, a fairly basic aesthetic, and far from the some the elaborate schemes seen elsewhere on this forum.

I had been asking about securing the stained glass within the frame, and made do by gluing the spacer in. I did get ahold of some Volora tape but, as thin as it is, decided it would leave too great a gap for the glue.

The client wanted the chandelier chain to hang it. I haven't attached the D rings yet, as I'm deciding on their position, currently shown near the top of the frame so that the angle of the chain doesn't impinge over the image. Also, perhaps the chain length as shown is a bit long and needs cutting back. Are there any common methods for dealing with hanging chains?

I suggest supplying the chain and fixings separately. You have no way of knowing how much chain is sufficient for the hanging situation, so I'd give him a metre of chain and be done with it.
Your design is fine, nice grain matching on the mitres. Not much else I can say.

I'd take about a 1/3 off that chain length but Justin's suggestion is better, let the customer decide.
You would have to pre-drill the screw holes first as your customer may struggle to screw into oak.

Funnily enough, the back looks more interesting than the front.
That's because you have a black liner, delineating the image.

I'm not saying that's what you need to do now, but if you ever want to add something like that again, then the trick is to buy some wide plain wood slip from R&H and slice off the width needed and then paint it.
