This is the Bellagio - c'mon then Ian - where'd I take it from?
You can see the fountain jets in the water - there is a very impressive display on the hour and a very very impressive illumintaed one at 7pm each night. The jets shoot to about the height of the hotel.

Tell me, tell me.... Just how much more choice do American framers have mouldings-wise???
OK I've just counted the suppliers in the show guide selling mouldings and/or custom frames.
There were 64!
Which has just reminded me, quite a few, if not most of the ones doing closed corner frames would sell their display models at half price. I had a few nice real gold ones earmarked and totally forgot about them. I even packed a spare suitcase for this type of thing.
DUUUUUUUUUUHHHH!!!!

Another thing I forgot was my 1Gb memory card. For some reason there was a 128 Mb card in my camera, which came with my first digital camera - I normally keep it in my camera pouch for emergencies!
So I changed the image size to something by something smaller and the image quality from 'Fine' to 'normal' for all shots bar 'snaps' which were 'basic' - plus a short video from the stratosphere.
But this camera (coolpix P5100 - 12.1 mp's) will store 180 photos on 'fine' (depending on image size) in its own internal memory - I remembered when I got home!
But anyway, I've just printed off that first shot and it's great - A4 - it'll be framed in my window by Wed.

Here's a carp photo, well just through some cloud. Brighton - trashed pier on the right, good pier on the left. It's much clearer on our TV somehow though.

Had I been sitting on the left of the plane I would have been able to see my house, we're just off the Gatwick flight path. I often stand in my garden wondering where the planes have come from, watching them go East and banking North, in fact I can see that from our bed, or could do before we fitted vertical blinds.
PS Mrs R has just tumble dried my £250 (reduced to £59 - TK Max) Cashmere jumper. Grandson has the best dressed action man in the world!

John,
Looks like you were at the South Rim. Did you hike
into the canyon?
Who all is in the limousine? The only one I recognize is Baer Charlton – front and center, as usual.

Yes, it's the South rim - the tour described it as the West rim, but our guide put us straight - West end of the South rim. Apparently the North rim is a very remote place - our guide told us of a friend of his that drove there, via Utah, 70 miles on dirt tracks etc etc.
Never went to the canyon floor, the only trips I know of that do that are helicopter ones! I suppose you could do it yourself, backpacking/horseback/boat etc. Bit too much of an expedition though.
As for the others in the limo - no idea/can't remember, but there is a photo on TFG with us all standing in front of the limo with names put to all the faces.

'e's good y'know!
Viewing platform though, not the restaurant - stuff those prices!
Also got up there on a 'power pass' well worth the cost - gets you in lots of attractions for a real good saving.
