But even if your garage/shed exceeds these dimensions there's no reason why planning permission won't be granted. I got approval in a residential area for a 5.3m x 11.5m brick and block garage/store/studio (sounded better than "workshop"!).

I'm sure we're not going to have a problem with the shed. We also have planning approval for an extension to the existing garage which is the building I currently use for an office/gallery (sorry Robo

), and for a single storey extension to the house! I'm also hoping to put up a 12' x 40' polytunnel next year.

We had a customer once that made jars of Marmalade in his shed as well as offer a Bespoke Framing service from it. His name was ( seriously ! ) Mr. Blood.
